Åsenfjord, Norway

Set above Åsenfjord in Norway, three cabins form a unique family retreat built and developed over several generations. As part of a complete transformation of the shared outdoor space, the landscape was divided into distinct zones using a combination of Norwegian flagstone, timber, river gravel and grass.

Dark Oppdal in Norwegian Flagstone Classic was used to create two dedicated outdoor areas, connected by large stepping stones through the landscape. The deep grey tones and naturally varied surface complement the timber architecture and rugged surroundings, while the irregular flagstone pattern gives each space an authentic and timeless Norwegian character.
