Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, Norway

Located beside the cross-country trails at Skei, the mountain cabin of Johannes Høsflot Klæbo – Norway’s king of cross-country skiing – is surrounded by exceptional training terrain and classic Norwegian mountain scenery. The outdoor space was designed as a natural extension of the cabin, providing a place to relax and enjoy the landscape between training sessions.

Dovre in Norwegian Flagstone Classic was used across the terraces on the south and west sides of the cabin. Quarried at 1,350 metres above sea level near Rondane National Park, the stone has a naturally textured surface and subtle grey character that feels at home in this alpine setting. The flagstone was individually prepared and fitted in Norway before delivery, allowing Klæbo and his grandfather to install the terrace in just one day.
