Wine Cellar, Norway

This private wine cellar combines the warmth of handcrafted woodwork with the enduring character of Norwegian natural stone. Bespoke oak wine storage, exposed timber beams and textured walls create an intimate atmosphere, while the flagstone floor provides a natural foundation that ties the space together.

Dovre in Norwegian Flagstone Classic was used throughout the cellar. Quarried high in the Norwegian mountains near Rondane National Park, Dovre is a fine-grained quartzite slate known for its understated grey tones and exceptional durability. The individually shaped flagstones and flowing joint lines introduce subtle variation to the floor, providing a refined contrast to the precision of the surrounding cabinetry while preserving the authentic character of traditional Norwegian stone craftsmanship.
