Palazzo Caraffini, Italy

Located in Polesine Zibello in northern Italy, Palazzo Caraffini is a family-owned winery where Italian heritage meets Scandinavian influence. The historic property has roots dating back centuries, while its Norwegian owners have brought their own background in art, design and travel to the character of the estate.

For the outdoor dining area, Dark Oppdal in Norwegian Flagstone Classic was set into the timber terrace, creating a natural centerpiece for dining and entertaining. The individually shaped stones and deep grey tones provide a striking contrast to the warm wood, weathered brick and traditional Italian architecture. It is a meeting of two traditions – Norwegian natural stone and Italian outdoor living – brought together in a space designed for food, wine and conversation.
